"...We've flown with our ATD-200 for more than a year and are delighted
with it... Never when operating the unit have we seen an airplane pass
nearby without its first triggering an appropriate traffic warning...
Until or unless we can afford something higher up the ladder, neither I
nor the three ATD-200 owners I know would care to fly again without one."

As a 25 year pilot operating in a high traffic density
area (San Francisco Bay Area), I have had my share of "close encounters."
It was this that prompted me to install the ATD-200. While it is a bit
overwhelming in the terminal environment, it proved to be a lifesaver in
the lonely (I thought) airspace of Nevada a few weeks back. I will spare
you the gory details, suffice to say the unit most likely prevented a
tragedy when another aircraft was detected and when sighted, it was clear
that a high probability of collision existed. Nevada is very much "Big Sky,
Little Airplane" and yet the ATD did a great job. Thanks to you and your
company for contributing to General Aviation a much needed product that
will reduce this ever present danger. I wish your firm success in the
future.

I have to tell you how satisfied I am with the Monroy Traffic Alert Unit.
I try it first in my car, then I try it on my plane in Caracas and I liked
it so much I installed it permanently in the panel. Now, I can enjoy all
my instrument panel with confidence because when there is traffic near by
it will alert me. Regards, G.D., Caracas, Venezuela, December 2000
I wanted to congratulate you on producing an excellent product
(ATD-200). The installation package is complete with clear and concise
documentation. During operation the unit performs very well, seemingly
always detecting traffic before we acquire it visually. Just last week we
were flying our Baron in company with another Baron 3-5 miles behind us.
Soon after the tower cleared our friends for takeoff, the ATD-200 reported
the other Baron's transponder signal and continued to show one to two
lights during our hour-long transit. While both of us were cruising at
7500 feet the controller advised a commuter aircraft that two northeast
bound Barons spaced 4 miles apart would be crossing traffic. Within
seconds the mode-s light illuminated on the ATD-200 and we started seeing
the distance closing on the commuter. We reported visual contact just
before the "traffic nearby" voice warning occurred. As the commuter's
distance increased the ATD-200 again went back to reporting the Baron in
trail. In sum we are very pleased with this type of performance from a "budget"
detector (at one tenth the cost of the big boys). I'm recommending your
product to all of my flying friends!

Was flying at 5500 feet this afternoon. Actually looking
out the window enjoying the scenery, scanning for traffic... Your "traffic
nearby" alert went off. Took a few seconds to see this guy coming headon
at my altitude. Climbed to avoid him, missing the collision by about 300
feet. I would have nailed him for sure. THANKS! It works. My wife thinks
your ATD-200 is the best thing I ever bought. C.S., Brownston, MI, July 2002
I wanted to give you a bit of feedback on the ATD-200 unit.
I installed it in my Piper Dakota with an external antenna and wired it
into my audio panel. The unit works great and really gets my eyes outside
the cockpit and looking for the traffic the unit detected. There has been
a time or two where the unit really earned its keep. This is a high
quality piece of avionics and well worth twice the price. It is a pleasure
to find a product that works better than the advertisement - rare these
days. Thanks!! B.D., Myrtle Beach, SC, October 2001
This has been a great product. I am a banner tow pilot on
the gulf coast of Alabama and after having a few close calls I figured
I'll try your product. I was thrilled to utilize the extra protection this
product offers and I was amazed at how much traffic I would have never
seen without the alert system. Thanks for making such an affordable safety
system for general aviation.

After
flying with the ATD-200 velcro-mounted to my glareshield for several
months, I installed it in my panel. I'm delighted with the performance of
the unit. When I hear "traffic", I start looking. When I hear "traffic
nearby", I REALLY start looking. It's great insurance.

We just purchased one of your devices, and flew with it
for the first time yesterday. AMAZING!!! It worked exactly as described,
and appears quite accurate. Specifically, we bought it for use in our trip
to Sun 'n Fun this year, as the "big test" for how it works. We are very
pleased with the device...and we have already had another local pilot look
the device over and may purchase one. Congratulations on the design of
such a worthwhile and needed product at an affordable price...everyone
ought to have one!

My base airport is located in a valley where there are
only five narrow corridors to access it, therefore there is traffic
congestion often. The ATD-200 has been very helpful in alerting me when
traffic is in one of the corridors. I can tell when a fast aircraft is
coming by the mode S light. I have really appreciated the usefulness of
the device. Thanks for the idea.

I want to thank you for your great product and support. My
radio shop "hard wired" my unit into my intercom and power supply and it
sits on the dash of my plane like a radar detector. I was amazed on the
trip back from the radio shop at the accuracy of the unit-it without fail
called traffic and without fail the traffic appeared! I am more than happy
with the way the unit performs-it is an extremely good value and a must in
any aircraft cockpit in my opinion. I expect several sales by word of
mouth, and easily justified. Great support and a great product- a very
satisfied customer, G.A., Holly, MI, July 2000
I wanted to drop you a note to tell you how pleased I am
with your new collision avoidance unit. I had it installed on my Aerostar
601P and it works great. I haved used it in a variety of environments
including high-traffic places like the Houston Class B airspace,
uncontrolled airports, as well as in the lower flight levels. Since I
always fly either IFR or with flight following, I have had frequent
opportunities to calibrate the unit with ATC radar. I find that it is
basically accurate, and well beyond what I would expect for a product that
costs under $1,000 and is portable. I base my plane at Hobby in Houston
which has parallel runways, one for general aviation and the other for
heavy metal, and I am often flying final with a 737 to the parallel runway.
So, here again, I have had extensive opportunities to analyze the output
of the product. Basically, it does what you suggested it would, which is
to let the pilot know that there is traffic out there, and to look for it.
It also gives the pilot an idea of how close the traffic is. It is
interesting to see on these final approaches with an airline on the
parallel runway how the instrument goes from three, then to four, then to
five bars as we both approach the parallel runways. Now that I know that
it works, it is very reassuring to have it in the plane. Let me
congratulate you for making the product, as I think it is a quantum leap
forward in aviation safety, at an affordable price. From my
experience in aviation over the last decade and a half, there are not many
products about which one can make both of those statements. If every
general aviation airplane had one of these in it, the sky would be much
safer for all of us. Thanks again for making a product that I am sure that
many, many pilots will see the benefit of this device and purchase it.
With best wishes,
R.A.J., Houston, TX, July 1999
Your unit works just as advertised! Very satisfied customer! (ATD-200 in a
